First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study tested whether blocking the hormone aldosterone and boosting another hormone called BNP could reduce early heart damage in people with HIV. 39 participants with well-controlled HIV and signs of early heart stress received the treatment. The goal was to see if this approach could lower inflammation and prevent heart failure from getting worse.
