First seen Mar 20, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study tested a drug called encaleret in 13 adults with post-surgical hypoparathyroidism, a condition where damaged parathyroid glands cause low blood calcium. Participants took the drug for 5 days in the clinic to see if it could improve calcium balance without raising urine calcium. The goal was to find a better treatment than current calcium and vitamin D pills.
