First seen Apr 04, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This observational study in Seoul, Korea, looks at how everyday emotional stress impacts memory and thinking in adults aged 60 and older. Over 180 participants will use a smartphone app and a smartwatch to report their feelings and do quick brain games several times a day for two weeks. They also give blood samples to measure inflammation and return for check-ups after 6 months and 1 year. The goal is to understand how stress and social support affect brain health over time, which could help create better ways to prevent dementia.
