Summary

This study aimed to understand how the emotional skills of young women (45 or younger) with non-metastatic breast cancer and their partners affect how they adjust to the disease and its treatments. Researchers observed 391 couples to see how their emotional awareness and communication influenced their individual and shared experience from chemotherapy through follow-up care. The goal was to gather knowledge to potentially improve future support for couples facing cancer.
