French hospitals track 1200 critical patients to improve emergency care

NCT ID NCT07411976

Summary

This study aims to understand how emergency resuscitation rooms work in France and whether patients admitted directly to these rooms have different outcomes than those who wait in the regular emergency department first. Researchers will observe 1,200 critically ill adult patients over 72-hour periods in multiple hospitals. The main goal is to see if the timing of resuscitation room admission affects whether patients need intensive care or die within 24 hours.
