Summary

This phase 3 trial tests elritercept, a drug given as a shot every 4 weeks, to see if it can help adults with a bone marrow disease called MDS go without red blood cell transfusions for at least 8 weeks. About 225 participants with very low- to intermediate-risk MDS who need regular transfusions will be randomly assigned to receive elritercept or a placebo. The study will also check for longer-term transfusion independence and monitor safety.
