First seen Mar 16, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding electroacupuncture to standard rehabilitation helps elderly people with sarcopenia (age-related muscle loss) walk farther and move more easily. Researchers will enroll 120 people aged 60–95 and randomly assign them to receive either electroacupuncture plus rehab or rehab alone for 12 weeks. The main focus is on walking tests, muscle mass, and strength, with safety monitored throughout.
