Summary

This phase 3 study tests whether a new oral drug called elecoglipron can help adults with type 2 diabetes better manage their blood sugar when added to their current insulin and other diabetes medications. About 600 participants will receive either elecoglipron or a placebo daily for 40 weeks. The main goal is to see if elecoglipron lowers HbA1c (a measure of average blood sugar) more than placebo.
