Green tea extract tested as liver cancer shield in cirrhosis patients

Summary
This study tests whether a compound from green tea, EGCG, can lower the risk of liver cancer in people with liver cirrhosis. About 60 adults with cirrhosis but no prior liver cancer will take either EGCG or a placebo for several months. Researchers will measure changes in a blood-based risk score to see if EGCG reduces cancer risk.
