First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated Jun 09, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study tested a new drug called EG-501 for people with lupus who experience cognitive impairment, often called "brain fog." Lupus brain fog can cause memory problems, trouble concentrating, and make daily life very hard. The trial involved 131 adults and compared EG-501 to a placebo over 14 weeks to see if it could safely improve thinking and memory. No approved treatments exist for this condition, so this research aims to fill a major gap in care.
