Brain wave test could spot Alzheimer's earlier

NCT ID NCT05673759

Summary

This study tested a special brain scan (EEG) to see if it could help doctors more accurately diagnose Alzheimer's disease and mild cognitive impairment. Researchers compared the brain scan results to standard memory and thinking tests in 148 participants, including healthy adults and those with memory concerns. The goal was to see if adding this scan to a doctor's toolkit could improve diagnostic confidence, though it was not a treatment and the study was terminated.
