New brain scan combo aims to sharpen target for epilepsy surgery
NCT ID NCT03278210
Summary
This study tested whether a combined brain scan method (EEG-fMRI) could help doctors more accurately locate the source of seizures in people with hard-to-treat focal epilepsy. It involved 102 patients who were already being evaluated for possible surgery. The goal was to see if this extra scan improved surgical planning and led to better outcomes after the operation.
