First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether a drug called edaravone dexborneol can help people who have a stroke while also having active cancer. The drug is given by IV twice a day for 10-14 days. Researchers will check if it improves recovery and is safe. About 144 adults aged 18-80 will take part.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
edaravone dexborneol injection (a combination antioxidant and anti-inflammatory drug)
What this could lead to
If it works, this could offer a new treatment option for stroke patients with active cancer, who currently have limited choices.
What could go wrong
This is a Phase 4 trial with only 144 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The drug may not improve outcomes or could cause side effects in this high-risk group.
