First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study looks at people in Paris whose hearts stopped outside the hospital and did not restart with standard CPR. They received a special machine called ECMO that pumps blood for the body while doctors try to restart the heart. Researchers will track how many survive for one year and how well their brains recover. The goal is to see if this emergency treatment works in real life.
