This study tested a small, portable ultrasound device (echOpen O1) for pregnancy follow-ups in Senegal, where access to standard machines is limited. 224 pregnant women were scanned with both the portable device and a regular ultrasound machine to see if the portable one could reliably check fetal position, number, heartbeat, and placental location.
