Sticky patch could spot heart rhythm problems faster in hospitals

NCT ID NCT07260721

First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated Jun 09, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study tests a small, sticky ECG patch that monitors heart rhythms in hospitalized patients. The patch sends real-time alerts to a central system and records data for later review. Researchers want to see if it helps doctors detect dangerous heart rhythms like atrial fibrillation or ventricular tachycardia sooner, leading to faster treatment changes. About 100 adults who need heart monitoring during their hospital stay will participate.
