First seen May 01, 2026 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study looks at whether people with a type of throat cancer linked to the Epstein-Barr virus can safely receive lower doses of radiation after initial chemotherapy. The goal is to see if reducing radiation can still control the cancer while causing fewer long-term side effects like hearing loss or dental problems. About 66 adults with stage III or IVA nasopharyngeal cancer will take part.
