Can when you eat and what you see calm a manic mind?
NCT ID NCT06504342
Summary
This small pilot study explored whether two non-drug therapies could help people hospitalized for manic episodes of bipolar disorder. Researchers tested if restricting eating to a 10-hour daytime window and/or wearing glasses that block blue light could improve manic symptoms and restore normal sleep-wake cycles. The goal was to see if these approaches were practical and acceptable to patients, to inform a larger future trial.
