New quick camera could slash bowel cancer check waiting lists
NCT ID NCT07341126
Summary
This study is testing a simpler, shorter camera called a 'rectoscope' to check for regrowth after a rectal tumor has been removed. The goal is to see if this check can be done quickly in a clinic using just a suppository, instead of requiring strong oral bowel medicine and a longer wait for a standard camera test. Researchers will enroll 30 patients to see if the new method is comfortable, effective, and can help reduce hospital waiting lists.
