First seen Apr 25, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study tests whether giving radiation therapy early to bone metastases that are not yet causing major symptoms can prevent serious bone complications like fractures or spinal cord compression. About 90 adults with solid cancers that have spread to bone will be randomly assigned to either standard care alone or standard care plus early radiation. The goal is to see if early treatment reduces the number of bone-related events over one year.
