Could a simple stimulation device speed up stroke recovery?

NCT ID NCT06192953

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether a device that provides gentle stimulation to the muscles and joints (Functional Proprioceptive Stimulation) can help people who recently had a stroke recover their balance and ability to move. The study will include 32 adults who had a stroke within the past two weeks and have weakness on one side. Half will receive the active stimulation during therapy sessions, while the other half will use the same device but turned off, to see if the stimulation makes a real difference.
