Early valve repair after heart attack may save lives

Summary
This study tests whether repairing a leaky mitral valve soon after a heart attack can reduce the risk of death and heart failure hospitalizations. It includes 250 adults with moderate to severe valve leakage. The approach uses a catheter-based procedure to clip the valve, aiming to improve survival and quality of life.
