First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 37 times
Summary
This study aims to find early markers for ALS, a disease that affects nerve cells and muscles. Researchers will compare blood, tears, urine, and spinal fluid from 60 people—including those with ALS gene mutations but no symptoms, early-stage ALS patients, and healthy controls. The goal is to develop a way to diagnose ALS earlier, which could lead to more effective treatments.
