First seen May 19, 2026 · Last updated Jun 03, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study looks at whether starting heart rhythm control therapy early after a stroke caused by atrial fibrillation can prevent another stroke, heart-related death, or hospital stays. About 1,746 adults who had a stroke and were recently diagnosed with atrial fibrillation will take part. They will either receive early comprehensive rhythm control or usual care, and researchers will track their health for up to several years.
