Earbud therapy tested to calm Stressed-Out nurses and doctors

NCT ID NCT05132881

Summary

This study is testing whether a special earbud device, which gently stimulates a nerve in the ear, can help reduce anxiety and emotional distress in healthcare workers. Researchers will enroll about 90 stressed healthcare professionals from Philadelphia to use the device for three months and track changes in their stress levels, burnout, and brain activity using MRI scans. The main goal is to see if this non-drug approach can ease symptoms and improve well-being for people in high-stress jobs.
