First seen Feb 20, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study compares e-cigarettes and oral nicotine pouches to see which helps smokers reduce cigarette use. 200 adult smokers who have tried quitting before will switch to one of these products for 6 weeks. Researchers will measure how many cigarettes they smoke and track health markers like carbon monoxide levels. The goal is to find a less harmful option for people who cannot stop using nicotine.
