First seen Jun 15, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 15, 2026

Summary

This study tested a new way to help teenagers improve emotional control. Mothers watched their daughters' brain activity in real time while talking to them. The goal was to see if this 'dyadic neurofeedback' could calm brain areas linked to emotion. 180 mother-daughter pairs took part, and researchers measured brain changes and depressive symptoms over time.
