Summary

This study compared a new immunotherapy drug called durvalumab against standard chemotherapy as the first treatment for advanced non-small cell lung cancer. It involved 669 patients whose cancer had a specific biomarker (high PD-L1 expression) and had not received prior treatment. The main goal was to see if the immunotherapy helped patients live longer than chemotherapy.
