Summary
This study tested two antidepressant medications, duloxetine and desipramine, to see which one is more effective at reducing pain in people with chronic pain. 86 adults with pain lasting more than 3 months were randomly assigned to one of the two drugs. The main goal was to see how many people in each group had at least a 30% drop in pain intensity over six months.
