Surgeons tailor Stent-Grafts to fix aortic aneurysms in new trial

NCT ID NCT07064460

First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests whether stent-grafts that surgeons customize for each patient's anatomy can safely treat aortic aneurysms. Thirty adults with aneurysms at risk of rupture will receive a physician-modified graft and be followed for five years. The goal is to see if this personalized approach reduces major complications and keeps the repair working long-term.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance
Physician-modified endovascular graft (customized stent-graft)
What this could lead to
If successful, this approach could offer a safer, less invasive treatment option for people with complex aortic aneurysms who may not be candidates for standard surgery.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage study (30 people) testing a modified device, so results may not apply broadly. Risks include serious complications like stroke, paralysis, or kidney failure.
