First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study tested whether an eye drop containing ectoin (BAT04) works better than a standard hyaluronic acid (HA) drop for people with dry eye. Sixty-four adults with mild to moderate dry eye used one of the two drops six times a day for 28 days. The main goal was to see how long tears stayed on the eye after blinking, a key measure of dry eye severity.
