Scientists test drug mix safety in healthy women

NCT ID NCT06547164

Summary

This early-stage study tested how an experimental breast cancer drug called camizestrant interacts with two common medications: midazolam (a sedative) and carbamazepine (an anti-seizure drug). Researchers enrolled 40 healthy postmenopausal women to measure how these drugs affect each other's levels in the body when taken together. The goal is to understand potential interactions before testing camizestrant in cancer patients who often take multiple medications.
