Drug interaction study tests how bosentan changes levels of experimental pill

NCT ID NCT05723874

First seen Nov 01, 2025

Summary

This completed Phase 1 trial enrolled 14 healthy men to see how taking bosentan (a drug for high blood pressure in the lungs) changes the amount of BI 425809 (iclepertin) in the blood. Participants took BI 425809 alone for 10 days, then both drugs together for 14 days. The study measured drug levels but did not test any treatment for a disease.

What this could lead to

If successful, this study could help doctors understand how to dose iclepertin safely when taken with bosentan or similar drugs.

What could go wrong
