New study aims to predict how much fluid drains after back surgery
NCT ID NCT07390058
First seen Feb 05, 2026 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study looks at adults aged 18-80 who need long-segment spine surgery. The goal is to find ways to predict how much fluid will drain from the surgical site after the operation. This could help doctors decide who needs a drain and when to remove it, possibly reducing complications. The study will test if the thickness of fat under the skin in the lower back can help predict drainage.
