First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study looks at whether placing a small drain in the neck after ACDF surgery helps prevent complications like bleeding, infection, or trouble swallowing. About 360 adults having elective neck surgery will be randomly assigned to get a drain or not. Researchers will track their recovery for six months to see which group does better.
