Summary

This study tests a device called DragonFly that clips a leaky mitral valve shut, helping blood flow properly in people with heart failure. About 148 adults with moderate-to-severe or severe functional mitral regurgitation who still have symptoms despite medication will be randomly assigned to get the clip or continue standard drug therapy. The goal is to see if the clip improves survival, reduces hospitalizations for heart failure, and eases symptoms like shortness of breath.
