First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jul 10, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This small study tests whether injecting doxycycline into fluid pockets (seromas) that form after joint replacement surgery can help them go away and prevent them from coming back. Ten adults with a seroma after an orthopedic procedure will receive the injection and be followed with ultrasounds. The goal is to see if this simple treatment can reduce the need for repeat drainage or additional surgery.
