Double the shock? new pilot tests faster, stronger response for cardiac arrest

NCT ID NCT06447805

Summary

This pilot study tested if a 'double sequential defibrillation' strategy—giving two rapid shocks as soon as possible—is feasible and safe for treating out-of-hospital cardiac arrest. It involved 40 patients and compared this approach to the standard single-shock method. The goal was to gather data to design a larger future study to see if this method improves survival.
