First seen Jun 08, 2026 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looks at whether it is safer to stop or continue taking direct oral anticoagulants (blood thinners) during planned heart procedures like angiography or stent placement. About 1,270 adults with atrial fibrillation and coronary artery disease will be randomly assigned to either pause or keep taking their medication. The main goal is to see which approach leads to fewer major bleeding events.
