New vaccine combo targets deadly childhood brain tumors

Summary

This early-stage trial tests a new vaccine (rHSC-DIPGVax) combined with two immunotherapy drugs (BALSTILIMAB and ZALIFRELIMAB) in children with DIPG or DMG brain tumors. The vaccine is designed to help the immune system attack tumor cells. The study aims to find a safe dose and see if the combination can control the disease. About 36 children who have completed radiation therapy will participate.
