New cream duo may speed healing after childbirth tear repair

Summary
This study tested whether adding diltiazem gel to standard fusidic acid cream helps heal episiotomy wounds and reduce pain after vaginal delivery. One hundred first-time mothers applied either the combination or the cream alone twice daily for 10 days. Researchers checked healing and pain at 3, 7, and 10 days after birth.
