Infant heart drug under the microscope: new study aims to uncover how digoxin works
NCT ID NCT06613477
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study looks at how the heart medication digoxin is processed by the bodies of infants with a rare heart condition called single ventricle heart disease. About 20 babies under 6 months old will participate, and researchers will collect blood samples during routine care to measure drug levels. The goal is to learn more about the drug's effects, not to change the baby's treatment plan.
