First seen Jan 16, 2026 · Last updated Apr 24, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study will test whether a smartphone app can reliably measure speech and breathing changes in Spanish-speaking people with ALS. Researchers will compare 35 participants with ALS to healthy volunteers of similar age and gender. Participants will use a Spanish-language app to record speaking and breathing tasks over time. The goal is to develop digital biomarkers that could help track disease progression more easily.
