New digital program aims to help Long-Time smokers kick the habit and screen for lung health

NCT ID NCT04691297

Summary

This study is testing whether a phone counseling program can help heavy smokers quit and learn about lung cancer screening. About 250 participants aged 55-77 who smoke heavily will receive either an intensive 8-session phone program or standard care. Researchers will compare quit rates and screening knowledge between the two groups over 6 months.
