Not a trial. This treatment can be requested outside a study, case by case, for people who qualify.
Expanded access (paused)
Not a trial. The treatment can normally be requested outside a study, but is unavailable right now.
Expanded access (ended)
Not a trial. The treatment could once be requested outside a study, but no longer can.

Summary

This pilot trial tests two online parenting programs designed for parents who struggle with anger and conflicts with their children. One program teaches standard behavioral parenting strategies, while the other adds emotion regulation techniques to help parents manage their own reactions. Researchers will compare both programs against a waitlist to see if they are feasible, acceptable, and linked to improvements in parenting behavior and child outcomes. The study involves 90 parents of children aged 2-17, with support from therapists via text and phone.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance
Two digital parenting programs: one with standard behavioral parent training, the other adding emotion regulation techniques
What this could lead to
If successful, these online programs could offer a scalable, accessible way to help parents manage anger and improve family relationships, potentially reducing child behavior problems.
What could go wrong
This is a small pilot study focused on feasibility, so results may not be definitive. The programs require active participation, and not all parents may benefit equally.
