First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests a 12-session program called Teen Anger Management Education (TAME) in Portuguese adolescents aged 12-17 who struggle with anger. The program teaches skills to regulate anger better. Researchers will measure changes in anger regulation using a scale, and also ask caregivers and teachers about the teens' anger responses. The goal is to see if the program helps teens use healthier anger strategies.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Teen Anger Management Education (TAME) program
What this could lead to
If it works, this could provide an effective, non-drug way to help teens control anger and improve their emotional responses.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage study with only 56 participants, so results may not apply to all teens. The program may not work for everyone, and benefits might be modest.
