Home workouts vs. physical therapy: can an app ease knee pain?

NCT ID NCT06167304

Summary

This study tested if a digital home exercise program could work as well as standard physical therapy for people with chronic knee osteoarthritis pain. Participants were randomly assigned to either use the SimpleTherapy app at home or receive traditional physical therapy for six weeks. The goal was to see if the home program could provide similar improvements in pain, function, and quality of life.
