First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study tests whether a digital heart health program (app and online sessions) added to usual care can lower cholesterol and reduce heart attacks, strokes, and other major heart events over 7 years. About 1,100 adults with heart disease or high risk factors who are already on statins will be randomly assigned to the digital program plus standard care or standard care alone. The goal is to see if technology can help people make lasting diet and lifestyle changes to better manage their heart health.
