First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study is creating a digital platform to assess and reduce disability risk in adults aged 65 and older. Researchers will screen for risk factors, build an early warning system, and test the platform in urban and rural communities with 238 participants. The goal is to help older adults stay independent through better monitoring and targeted interventions.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
digital platform for disability risk assessment and intervention
What this could lead to
If successful, this could provide a practical, data-driven system to help older adults stay independent longer and reduce disability risk.
What could go wrong
This is an early-stage observational study, not a treatment trial. The digital system may not work equally well across different communities or may be difficult for some older adults to use.
