First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study tested whether adding praise from parents and game-like features (points, levels, a virtual pet) to a digital food log helps children aged 8-12 track what they eat. Nineteen children and their caregivers participated for 4 weeks. The goal was to see if these positive reinforcement strategies improve how often and how completely kids log their food.
